Heads up, horror fans! We've been getting reports of a fake "REPO" game showing up on some underground PS5 communities. Let's set things straight: this is NOT our game. The authentic REPO on PS5 is not officially available yet.
These bootleg versions are likely malware or just straight-up trash made to rip you off. Don't waste your money, and definitely don't give these scammers your PSN account info. No matter how tempting it might be to play our game on your shiny PS5, it's not worth getting your account hacked.
We're working our asses off to bring REPO to PlayStation 5 properly, but good things take time. When we do release on PS5, it'll be through official PlayStation channels only - not some sketchy link your "friend's cousin" sent you.
How to Spot Fake Versions:
- They claim to have a "special beta" or "early access" version for PS5
- They require you to "jailbreak" your console or use external apps
- The price is suspiciously cheap (or suspiciously expensive)
- They ask for your PSN login details or other personal information
- Downloads come from sites other than the PlayStation Store
PS5 Development Status
Current Status
REPO is currently in active development for PlayStation 5, but we're not ready to announce a release date just yet. We're taking our time to make sure the PS5 version takes full advantage of the console's capabilities - from the adaptive triggers that let you feel the weight of each object you pick up, to the 3D audio that'll have you paranoid about every creak and whisper.
Why It's Taking Time
Look, we could rush out a half-baked port and call it a day, but that's not how we roll. The PS5 offers some insane possibilities for horror games, and we're rebuilding big chunks of REPO from the ground up to make it a genuinely next-gen experience.
The DualSense controller alone is changing how we approach certain gameplay mechanics. Imagine feeling the tension as you slowly pull open a creaky door, or the subtle vibrations of something large moving nearby. That stuff takes time to get right!
When Can You Expect It?
We're not giving specific dates because we don't want to disappoint anyone, but we're aiming for a release within the next development cycle. What we can promise is that when REPO hits PS5, it'll be worth the wait.
In the meantime, you can still enjoy REPO on our homepage, check out the PC version via Steam, or try our Android APK version if you're desperate for some on-the-go horror. Just don't fall for the fake PS5 versions floating around!

When exactly will REPO release on PS5?
We don't have a specific release date yet. We're working on it, but we won't announce a date until we're 100% confident we can hit it. The official REPO on PS5 deserves our full attention and care. Too many games rush out half-baked these days, and that's not our style. We'll announce a release date when the game is nearly ready for certification.
I saw REPO listed on a third-party store for PS5. Is it legit?
Nope. Full stop. If it's not on the official PlayStation Store, it's fake. We haven't released any PS5 version, beta, alpha, or whatever they're claiming. Don't give these scammers your money or information.
Will the PS5 version have exclusive content?
Yes! We're designing some PS5-exclusive levels and features that take advantage of the console's unique capabilities. We won't spoil everything, but let's just say the DualSense haptic feedback is perfect for a certain sequence involving... well, you'll see. Plus, we're working on a special PlayStation-themed easter egg that's sure to make you smile (before you start screaming).
Will there be a PS4 version too?
We're focusing on making the absolute best PS5 version possible first. Once that's done, we'll look at whether a PS4 version makes sense. But honestly, some of the coolest features we're planning really need the PS5's horsepower, so no promises on that front.
How will I know when the real PS5 version is available?
We'll make a huge announcement across all our official channels - website, social media, and the PlayStation Blog. You won't miss it, we promise!
